Twelvenote Brew Co. celebrates the harmony between the art of music and the craft of brewing. Just as the chromatic scale’s 12 notes unlock infinite musical possibilities, our brewery transforms a few simple ingredients — water, malt, hops, and yeast — into a symphony of flavors.
We honor the idea that creativity flourishes within simplicity, crafting beers that resonate like timeless melodies, each sip an ode to the boundless artistry born from humble beginnings.
Located in the Black Rock neighborhood of Bridgeport, Twelvenote is a music-driven brewery and taproom where every beer has its own rhythm, personality, and place in the setlist. We brew our beer on-site, with a rotating lineup that moves from crisp lagers and easy-drinking blondes to hop-forward IPAs, dark pub-style ales, seasonal releases, and experimental tracks.
Our taproom is built for good pours, good sound, and good company. We’re dog-friendly, BYO food-friendly, and always happy when guests bring in their favorite local takeout or snacks to pair with a pint. We also host live music, game-day watch parties, community events, and laid-back hangs that make 12N feel like a neighborhood spot with a soundtrack.

The 12N Crew
Bryan Pietrzak
Co-Founder/BrewmaestroBryan is the co-founder and brewer behind Twelvenote Brew Co., bringing together a lifelong love of music, hands-on craftsmanship, and thoughtful recipe development. Before opening 12N, Bryan spent years as a machinist and welder, a background that shaped his detail-driven approach to brewing, problem-solving, and building a brewery from the ground up.
A drummer, beer lover, and creative tinkerer at heart, Bryan leads the brewing program with a focus on balance, drinkability, and beers with personality. Outside the brewhouse, he’s proudly married to Mrs. 12N herself, Serena, and is the devoted dawgfather of Midas and Nesto. Whether he’s dialing in a recipe, troubleshooting equipment, or curating the next music-inspired release, his goal is simple: make great beer, create a welcoming space, and keep the whole thing moving to the rhythm of Black Rock.

The 12N Front of House team is the heartbeat of the taproom — the friendly faces behind the bar, the playlist-aware pint pourers, and the people who help make every visit feel like part of the show. Our bartenders Kadeem, Marisa, and Kacey bring the hospitality, beer knowledge, energy, and personality that keep the Twelvenote experience flowing, while Julian and JT help keep the rhythm steady as part of our support staff.
From guiding guests through the tap list to keeping the room moving during live music, events, game days, and busy weekends, our FOH crew helps make Twelvenote feel like home. They know the beers, they know the vibe, and they help turn every pour into a proper 12N experience.
