Jared Sage Cowen

Bridgeport-based guitarist and songwriter Jared Sage Cowen is a rising voice in the modern jam scene and the driving force behind Big Shrimp — a high-energy quartet blending funk, indie rock, and progressive improvisation.

Following national success with his former band Baked Shrimp (400+ shows and major festival appearances), Cowen reemerged with Big Shrimp, quickly earning slots alongside acts like Spafford, Eggy, and Umphrey’s McGee. Their live shows are packed with catchy melodies, fearless solos, and the kind of tight-yet-exploratory jamming that keeps the room locked in.
